Hydro Cleaning and Water Jetters

Jetters used in the plumbing community are used mostly for hydro cleaning.   The definition of hydrocleaning or waterblasting is the use of water propelled at high speeds to clean surfaces and materials. By focusing and pressurizing the water stream, the force generated can remove paint from walls, metal, and highways, rubber from runways sealants and membranes from concrete.
To standardize cleaning operations and surface preparation specifications, the Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC) has adopted the following four definitions for cleaning operations using water jetting technology:
•    Low-pressure water cleaning (LP WC) is the use of water pressure less than 5,000 psi (34 MPa) for cleaning.
•    High-pressure water cleaning (HP WC) is the use of water pressure between 5,000 to 10,000 psi (34 to 70 MPa) for cleaning.
•    High-pressure water jetting (HP WJ) is the use of water pressure between 10,000 to 25,000 psi (70 to 170 MPa) for cleaning.
•    Ultrahigh-pressure water jetting is the use of pressures above 25,000 (170 MPa) for cleaning.

Before using a water jetter, equipment should be checked and be sure it is safe to use with no obvious signs of wear. The area where the work is to be carried out should also be assessed. If the problem is a blocked drainage system, for example, it is very important to know what may be causing the blockage. It may be a broken pipe, ingrown tree roots or in the case of bad weather, debris carried by the water. If using water jetter in public areas, always insure that people are at a safe distance and well protected.

When it is safe to proceed, a water jetter will be connected to a water supply. After choosing what type of nozzle to use and making sure that it is securely connected to the lance, a water jetter should be directed towards the surface that is to be cleaned or into the pipes that are in need of unblocking.

Since it takes a lot of skill to use the equipment, only trained persons should handle such equipment.

Water jetters use high pressure (HP) jet equipment to clean the surfaces of:
•    paving slabs
•    patios
•    concrete surfaces
•    marble
•    brickwork
•    road surfaces
•    walls and buildings
•    vehicles.
High Pressure jets are also used for:
•    cleaning drains and sewers
•    industrial descaling and desilting
•    boiler tube cleaning
•    cleaning inside cooling towers
•    removing water and debris from manholes
•    concrete removal from bridges or road surfaces.
Water jets operate at a variety of pressures. Ultra high pressure (UHP) water jets operate at an extremely high pressure and can be used to cut through steel. They are also used for:
•    cold-cutting pipes and tank plates
•    removing oil, paint and food by-product residues.
•    the removal of surface coatings
•    cleaning and cutting by marine chemical companies.

Dermatologists Tested Hair Removal Lasers

During hair removal treatments offered to patients, dermatologists specialized on this field need to offer the right indicated type of laser. In the present, there are quality laser treatments available such as ruby, alexandrite, Nd: YAG, diode systems, and also flash lamps. However, Nd: YAG is the only system that is not focused on melanin destruction on the hair bulb to prevent further hair formulation. For more information on laser hair removal check out laser hair removal sydney.

On the other hand, Nd: YAG performs effectively on the parts where there is not much melanin present. The results on the regrowth rate after the laser operations vary differently, however all these systems have similar chances of poor effects. There is only 550 to 1200 nm wavelength presented by Epilight so it's not commonly recognized as a laser system. A reflector lets the pulses be delivered using filters that comprises special roles of the light that will benefit the skin for hair removal.

Available these days are two kinds of rubies and these are the EpiLaser and EpiTouch. The two ruby lasers vary according to their pulse duration power, fluence, and spot size. The Epilaser system is a treatment using sapphire lens with a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius that acts as convergent and also helps lessen conduction of heat. The EpiTouch uses a zero degrees Celsius cooling gel, applied preoperatively, to limit heat conduction, epidermal damage, and pain.

In effect to reducing hair reformulation, ruby systems have to be undergone for repetitive sessions depending on the advice of the dermatologist. The results of such treatments may be temporal that's why hair removal treatment needs maintenance and repetitive sessions. Diode laser, also known for its sheerness on laser procedure, makes use of a cold sapphire tip to brush it on the skin. Two treatments done every other month will reduce almost half the chance of regrowth annually. Follow up according to the right time is highly recommended to avoid pending the results. The bad and adverse effect of Nd: YAG is its thermal damage. There is a possible thermal damage caused by the carbon based material since its light is absorbed to the skin, however it is needed to be applied before the laser treatment. Using Nd: YAG will only provide temporary effects of hair loss. In six month's time, hair growth will eventually recover itself.

The only distinction between the side effects of the different laser systems are the level of the side effects entailed. Chances of having epidermal damage and hypo pigmentation are presently possible after the treatments are performed. To ensure that there is a lesser pain, and not much pigmentary changes, you have to go through the pre treatment containing Hydro quinine and EMLA.

Certain systems that carry longer wavelengths are lesser prone to negative effects, and having fluency with revisions will also help patients to have lesser unhealthy effects. Even Nd: YAG and intense pulsed light treatments can result to an adverse effect like erythema. Having stated the adverse effects such as edema and petechiae, these are present in Nd: YAG. Epidermal damage is an important concern, so there is a need to test some parts on your skin before actually treating the entire areas. Similar pigmentation on the test area and skin for treatment is needed so there can be consistency on the results.

There should be strict instructions for patients to avoid outdoors after the laser treatment. Women having hirsutism are subject for a medical check up by the dermatologists to ensure safety measures during the laser procedures. Such medical conditions possibly acquired by women to secrete excessive androgen that causes the hirsutism. To make sure there are no further damage and adverse effects on one another, better have your doctor provide treatments for unhealthy conditions right before having hair removal.
