Getting The Most Out of The Light In Your House
It is often the case that people have lovely big homes but are not happy with the amount of light that they get in them. In actual fact, it is often those people who have deeper rooms and areas within the house that are some distance from any windows that have the biggest problems with light. There are some options available to increase the light in your home, including adding widows, knocking through walls and even using putting light tunnels in the chimney. However, most of these methods are very costly and time consuming and there are far easier ways to brighten up your life.
Mirrors. It is such an easy technique to use and yet lots of people don't even consider just how good mirrors are at enhancing light. They are so good because unlike most materials, they reflect almost 100% of the light that hits them. Place them in carefully selected locations on walls so they reflect light from the window straight out of the room door. By locating a mirror just outside the door, the light can then be picked up and moved on down the hall or into other rooms or areas of the house. Repeat this as necessary throughout the house and it’ll be like having a hundred extra lights around.
Glass. If your goal is not to redirect light, but rather disperse it into lots of different directions then you can glassware. Using wine glasses on tables and even crystal vases on shelves with refract light and send it out at all angles giving an all over glow.If you refract light too much then it loses its power so make sure you don't go crazy with the glass items.
Combine. For the ultimate light manipulation, try using both the techniques described above in combination. Use mirrors to direct light through glass objects such as glass candle holders and then smaller mirrors to pick up the refracted light and move it on. The best bit about using these tricks it that you won’t have to spend an extra penny on more electricity.

Beer expires after 7 months.
That's the typical shelf life.

The Legal View: The Missing Siegel Check (THE BEAT)
The most revealing development in the Siegel case since I last wrote for The
Beat involves a check. Not the check issued to Siegel and Shuster in exchange
for the Superman copyright, but one that DC has apparently* not written--
payment to the Siegel family for Grant Morrison’s relaunch of Action #1.
