How good does this pc sound to you in terms of gaming and being futureproof.?
Inter Core 2 Quad Q6600 OC 3.21GHZ
4GB HPC Reaper Ram
NZXT Lexa Blackline (Red)
GTX 260
680I LT SLI MOBO
550Watt power supply
Zalman fan cpu cooler
250GB WD Hard Drive
200GB WD Hard Drive
It's solid for gaming but let's face it, nothing is really future proof, since the first-generation Core i7s are already out, with newer models expected within 7-8 months.
You'll get better gaming performance from an E8400 than a Q6600- true OC'ing the quad to 3.21 Ghz beats the stock duo, but it's easier to OC the E8400 to 3.6 or maybe even 3.8 Ghz
The duo still retains its' edge whether you're overclocking or not.
As long as you're going with a Core 216 GTX 260, you're good
