Serail to USB Help?
I have a computer with Windows XP that has a serial port, but no USB port. I need a USB, but don't have the money to by a card or a USB to Serial cable. Is there a way to splice cords and put a serial and usb together? If so, which wires would go to which pins. Help please. I will choose a best answer if it works.
USB to serial is the opposite of what you are asking for - it will make a serial port out of a USB port.
You can't make a USB port out of a serial port - they are much older than USB and run much slower, not to mention voltage issues.
