Do I need SSD for my gamin ring?
Hello I just got my gaming rig and I was wondering if I really need SSD for gaming
CPU: Core i7 975 Extreme Edition
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W
MB: P6T7 WS Supercomputer ASUS
RAM: RAM 6 GB DDR3 /2000 Mhz Corsair
HDD: 2000GB SEAGATE XT 7200NCQ 64MB (2x)
GPU: HD5970 Sapphire 2G G5 (2x, Black Edition)
Case: Themaltake SwordM (The liquid cooling one)
Soundcard: ASUS XONAR HDAV 1.3 7,1 not like it matters
Using 24 inch Apple Cinema Display
Anyway please lemme know... is +1 SSD going to make any difference? I am kinda bad with computers so I don't know
thanks for your help!
Edit: I know my PC especially the GPU's are overkill but I don't care I just need to know thank you !!
Edit: Also wondering if my CPU is going to be stable at 4.5 (The case has 12 120mm fans)
Edit : I can't find any reply button im new to this but thank you for your answers guys !!!! appreciated and sorry that I cant give u points or whatever it is right now because I am low level :< Thanks again
I use an SSD in my rig. Worst decision I ever made. These things may have improved opening folders etc... But the more you put on it the worse it gets, takes my Windows7 x64 near 10 minutes to boot because I have my games installed on the SSD. In my experience its not a good idea for gaming. Its up to you though what are you going to be doing more, gaming or normal computer stuff? Gaming:NO SSD Normal Stuff: YES SSD
